Get Involved
I saw in the news something about a community forum, what was that?
The New Hampshire Broadband Mapping & Planning Program (NHBMPP) hosted a series of public forums around the state from September through mid-November of 2010. The informational meetings familiarized participants with the NHBMPP’s ongoing efforts to inventory and map broadband coverage available across New Hampshire, and collected important input from residents, businesses, and institutions on where broadband is and is not currently available. For more information, go to the community forum page.
What can I do to support this program?
We encourage everyone in New Hampshire to support this program by conducting a speed test, so that we can use the information to validate service data submitted by providers. In addition to conducting the speed test, you can also contact the program with any additional details of broadband service (or the lack of service) in your area.
How can a telecommunications or broadband company get involved?
Participation from telecommunications and broadband companies is critical to the success of the program. Contact the Project Coordinator to be included in the program.
How can a New Hampshire anchor institution or non-profit company get involved?
The nine regional planning commissions and GRANIT conducted an inventory of all the state's community anchor institutions during the past 6 months regarding their access to broadband. If your institution or organization was not contacted or would like to become more involved in the broadband mapping initiative, please contact the Project Coordinator to be included in the program.
