The map displays broadband access information submitted to the NH Broadband Mapping & Planning Program (NHBMPP) as of September 30, 2011. Service providers submitted data in a range of geographies, including addresses, road segments, census blocks, census tracts, etc. For mapping purposes, all data are aggregated and displayed at the census block level. A census block is mapped as "served" if service is delivered to any part of the block. Satellite providers (HughesNet, Star Band Communications and WildBlue) were excluded from the speed analysis. Broadband is defined as access that is at least 768 kbps downstream and 200 kbps upstream. To assist the NHBMPP in data verification, if in reviewing the above broadband coverage map you determine that an area of the community is unserved, please feel free to complete the broadband survey and/or contact the mapping & planning program staff. Additionally, running the speed test and including your address will provide the program with information on the level of broadband service availability in the selected community and will assist in refining the coverage maps. |
